About Meghan
Oh, hi! I’m Meghan. If there were a million hours in my day, I would laugh and cry over coffee and doughnuts with all of the people I love, I would visit a place I’ve yet to go with my best friend (probably holding his hand), I’d forage a bunch of wildflowers and greenery (probably barefoot) for arraying throughout our home, and I would write loads more thank you letters and just because notes.
My life story is- “saved and ever held”. I walk forward because of knowing, that in Christ, grace is always greater, endings find beginnings, and there is no alone.
I’m a photographer because I believe there is so much purpose in remembering. I believe that our todays (the ordinary and the not so ordinary), were made for holding on to, and that tender mercies were meant for making much of and thinking on again and again. Sometimes I’d like to imagine certain moments a little less fleeting, and yet, I believe that in some small way, the fleeting nature and the continual goodbyes/hellos of life are what hold our perspectives and help picture these places just as they are- so dear, so precious, so costly.

About THE FINE ART PROCESS
After shooting on a digital format for years, I began to slowly incorporate film into my shooting process. Today, the majority of my work is captured on film.
I choose film photography in the hopes of finding more purpose in my living, of finding out that value isn’t always the how much as it is the how well and how true.
I’ve watched myself learning and loving people more and leaving each session with more beautiful images. I’ve seen light in a new way, people in a new way, beauty in a new way, and I live more intentionally as I’ve had to wait and treasure. Film photography is just a tool, it’s just one way of many good ways, but there’s a why in my way and I believe it’s the knowing of purpose more than it is the film that has affected my work. I give pieces of my heart to each of my clients, and I want them to receive everything and more that I would hope to receive myself.
